Media coverage.

Our press team puts your experts in the titles your buyers actually read, and every mention lands back on their own page.

Media coverage is the press service behind the hub. We pitch your named experts to the trade and national press, brief them before interviews, and then bring every mention back onto their profile page so it stops being a link that expires.

It is not a press office that announces things. Nobody outside your firm cares about your appointments. What earns coverage is a specific expert with a specific opinion at the moment a journalist needs one.

Why it matters

What being quoted actually changes.

Somebody else vouching for you counts moreA page you own says you are an expert. A masthead quoting you says somebody else thinks so, and buyers read the second differently from the first.
Corroboration is what machines look forAn answer engine deciding whether to name your expert is looking for the claim to appear somewhere other than your own website. Coverage is that somewhere.
The mention stops disappearingCoverage normally has a week of visibility and then vanishes into an archive. On the hub it sits on the expert's page permanently, dated and linked.
It gets easier every monthA journalist who has used your expert once comes back. A published archive makes the first yes far more likely than a cold pitch with nothing behind it.

What it does

How a mention happens.

01

We pitch the person, not the firm

Journalists do not want a company comment. They want a named human who can say something specific about the thing they are writing about today.

  • Pitched as a named expert with a stated view
  • Trade titles your buyers read, then the nationals

Coverage in the titles your buyers read

The trade press first, because that is what a buyer in your market actually reads, then the nationals where the subject reaches further.

Every mention lands back on their page

We add it to the expert's profile page, dated and linked, and mark it up as a mention so it counts as evidence rather than as decoration.

  • Added within days, not at the end of the quarter
  • Marked up as a mention, so a machine can read it too

Our view

Why we pitch people rather than firms.

Jordan Greenaway
In twelve years of doing this I have never had a journalist ask me for a company statement. They ask for somebody who can explain a thing on the phone in ten minutes and be quoted saying it. Firms that understand that get covered. Firms that send announcements do not.

Questions

What firms ask about this.

+Can you guarantee coverage?
No, and an agency that guarantees it is either paying for it or lying. What we commit to is the pitching, the briefing and the honest reporting of what landed and what did not.
+Which titles do you target?
The trade press your buyers read first, then the nationals and the broadcast slots where the subject travels. The list is agreed with you and reviewed as the subjects change.
+Is this paid placement?
No. Everything we place is earned editorial. If a paid opportunity is genuinely worth taking we will say so and let you decide, separately.
+How much notice do our experts need?
Journalists work in hours. The experts who get quoted most are the ones who can take a call the same day, and we brief them before each one so it is a short call rather than a project.
+What if an interview goes badly?
We brief beforehand and we sit in where the title allows. If a piece comes out wrong we go back to the journalist, and we tell you either way.
+Do you handle crisis or reactive press?
Profile does, as an agency. It is not part of the hub subscription, and we would rather talk about it properly than bolt it on.
+How quickly does coverage start?
The first placements usually come in the first couple of months, often in trade titles. National coverage tends to follow once there is a published archive behind the expert.
+Do we see the coverage report?
Yes, in the same monthly report as everything else, with what was pitched, what landed, and what the journalist actually used.
